Biography
Asmaa Fadl is a dentist by training and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Precision Oral and Systemic Health at the University of Saskatchewan. Aspiring to become a clinician-scientist, Asmaa aims to integrate basic science with patient-centered perspectives to advance systemic health outcomes. Her research focuses on the molecular mechanisms driving fibrosis in the autoimmune disease systemic sclerosis, using molecular biology and genetic analysis approaches. Passionate about the One Health approach, Asmaa values integrative, cross-disciplinary collaborations and believes her clinical dental perspective can uniquely contribute to advancing autoimmune and skin disease research.
