Biography

Varsha Reddy Durgempudi is a PhD candidate in Dr Anie Philip’s lab at McGill University. Her research focuses on uncovering novel therapeutic mechanisms underlying the progression of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, with a particular emphasis on cell-surface signaling pathways and translational cancer biology. She is a recipient of the Surgical Scientist Program (SSP) Fellowship and the RI-MUHC Fellowship in recognition of her research excellence.
Beyond her research, Varsha actively contributes to the scientific community as a scientific programming member of the McGill Regenerative Medicine Network (MRM), Réseau de Recherche en Santé Buccodentaire et Osseuse (RSBO), and the Skin Research Group of Canada (SRGC). She also served as the Branding and Promotions Trainee for the Precision Medicine Symposium, organized by DCAT, and as the PhD Ombudsperson for the Surgical and Interventional Sciences Graduate Student Society (SIGSS), reflecting her commitment to scientific outreach, leadership, and trainee advocacy.
